Kodiak Island Mountain Goat
Your Experience
Kodiak Mountain Goat Hunting can be the most challenging and rewarding hunting experience one can have. Our Goat hunts are conducted within the draw areas. The draw application period is November to December 15. Results are posted February 15.
Your trip will begin when you are picked up at the airport by myself or my wife, Kim. We will take you by the local sporting goods store for any last minute items and to purchase your license and locking tag. We will then get you settled in at a local hotel where we can take a last look at your gear and discuss the key points of your hunt.
The majority of our hunts start at salt water regardless of the mode of travel used to gain access to the area. Our trips are conducted backpack style which means we will always carry our tent, sleeping bags and supplies with us. This technique provides us with a very flexible hunt plan and is a primary attribute to our goat hunting success.
A packer is included on all Mountain Goat hunts however, you still need to be prepared to carry a weight of approximately 35 to 40 pounds for the duration of your hunt. Once you have taken your animal and it is removed from the field, we will provide the proper trophy care by fleshing, salting and drying the hide. We will then ship it to the destination of your choice.
